We’ve been back in Redding for just over a week, so we wanted to say hi, and fill you in on our second year transition!

Arriving back this year has been so different to last year. The contrast has made us realise quite how much, last year, we felt like aliens in a foreign land! This year, just driving out of San Francisco airport felt familiar, and it was so lovely to arrive at our house, to know where to go for everything, to be used to driving on the right, and what food to buy! The boys have also adjusted well, and have already had play-dates with a couple of friends. Thank you Father! Also, in complete contrast to last year, we have blue skies and fresh air - thank you Jesus! We’ve been able to get out a couple of times this week to enjoy the local lake and Lassen Volcanic Park; what an incredible creator our Dad is!!

Today is the boys’ first day back at school. All of them are in re-arranged classes (and some good friends have moved away), so they’re all only with one friend from last year, so that’s making them a little nervous. We know they make friends easily and will be fine - please pray for them in the transition.

John G LakeWith the boys at school, we now have a 500 page book to finish reading and a report to write, so that will be keep us busy before we start BSSM2 on 3rd September!

Back in April, Justyn had a dream that he was in the UK, heading back to the airport to fly here, and on the way he realised he’d left everything behind apart from the flight tickets, passport and wallet. He had to decide, did he return to get his belongings, and miss the flight, or did he go with what he had (all he needed to catch the flight), and get everything else once he was here! We believe God was speaking to us through this about trusting Him, that He’ll provide everything that we need at the right time. We are SO incredibly thankful for all that God has provided for us, some through you, our friends and family and some through Justyn’s work. Also, some people left their belongings in our garage over the Summer, they’re now not returning for 2nd year and have said we can have what they’ve left; just small things, but they were just what we needed/wanted! Father knows every small detail of what we need, but also what we’d like! I love that He’s so extravagant!

During our time in England, I was praying one day about my anxiety over finance, and He showed me that I was standing outside the palace, still wondering whether I was actually allowed to enter. Jesus, lovingly and gently took my hand and led me into the most opulent palace I could ever imagine. He led me to the doorway of many rooms, each one filled with different jewels, and said ‘go on, they’re yours to enjoy, it’s never going to run out!’ This truth about who He is, and the access that we have to His riches, is something that we’re holding on to. We know that He’s doing so much in our hearts about trusting Him for everything.  Partnering with God is an exciting place to be, and let’s be honest, sometimes a little scary, but that’s all part of the process; dealing with fear and becoming more and more confident of HIS goodness and desire to bless us!

We’re so thankful for all of you who have, and continue to, sow in to us and all that God’s doing. If you would like to partner with us on this journey, and contribute towards our monthly living expenses, please let us know and we’ll point you in the right direction!
